Tierney N. Coats
Dr. Tierney Coats, is a born and raised Arizona native. She completed her undergraduate studies at Arizona State University. She graduated with her B.S. in Biological Sciences with an emphasis in Animal Physiology and Behavior and a minor in Religious Studies in 2014. During her studies, she spent time working in numerous research labs including studying abroad in Australia and Fiji, where she performed research on ethnohydrology. She then went on to complete her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University in 2018. She completed her clinical year at Texas A&M, where she continued to hone her clinical skills in globally diverse settings. Since then, has accumulated 7 years of experience in the field working predominantly with dogs and cats. She has donated her time as a volunteer in both Costa Rica and Nicaragua where she assisted in controlling animal overpopulation in underserved communities by offering high-quality spay/neuter clinics and animal welfare education.
Passionate about animal care, Dr. Coats has remained committed to providing exceptional care to her patients and has a special interest in surgery and internal medicine. She is happily married and enjoys life with her husband, their son, and their fury companions. Her current pet population includes one island kitty and three beloved dogs a Frenchie, Golden Retriever, and a Doberman. When not at work, Dr. Coats enjoys to spend time with her family, hike and travel.
